In the beginning Bamban is nameless, not until some new settlers arrived in the place. They intended to settle for good and choose to build homes along the river banks. Aware of the existence and abundance of Bamban plants on this place most especially near the river. They deem to name the place after it. This plant is with the stem similar to the Batbat a plant used to new nipa leaves together for roofing puposes. In the absence of Batbat, Bamban plant may take it places. From then on, Bamban got similar a name after the plant called Bamban.
